  • Day 16   by  Zoebess     18 y     4,015       5 Messages Shown       Blog: The Master Cleanse Express
Day 16 was a day of work for me. Preparing for the weekend, and catching up on chores I had let slid when company came. It felt good to put everything to rights again. My SWF was really productive....amazing to see this progress on day 16. A couple of hours later I began to run a fever and I took it as another sign that my body had excavated a nest of funk! Yay!!

My excitement waned however and as the day wore on, I became tired. I did all my tricks to rev up my motor, used the chi machine, rebounded, and even did a reflexology massage on my feet!

I forced myself to keep hydrated too since this was one of the first days that I found myself BORED with the lemonade!

So I had to give myself a pep talk which ended up with me feeling somewhat less bored and more resigned to just going through the motions of filling my two glasses I keep handy, one with water, and one for tea or lemonade. If nothing else, I am still very committed to keeping the cleanse up even when the days come when my energy feels like I am scraping the bottom of the barrel!

My neighbor came to visit and as soon as she left, I fell into bed and a nice sleep. A storm was brewing so the doggies all had come in since lightning is not something they are fond of.

We all took a nap and the rain fell and it turned into that kind of afternoon that you feel like curling up in a corner of the cave and hibernating. I had grown tired of swimming against the flow too so napping was the answer to detoxing heavily.

I woke to realize the rain had stopped and felt revived. Also grateful that 2 more bottles of lemonade awaited me in the fridge!

The rest of the day I watched a movie, listened to too much news on CNN and ultimately stayed close to the throne room and kept hydrated and calm. My biggest excitement of the day was late, when I was going out to feed the cats who live outside because we have birds who live inside...ggg. I believe in Angels and so as I went to open my door, my angel said, turn on the light!!

    http://curezone.com/upload/Blogs/ArchangelMichael.jpg

I did and there right outside the door, on the stoop, was a copperhead!

    http://curezone.com/upload/Blogs/snake_copperhead.jpg

I did NOT want to kill it so *asked* it to go down to the woods so I could spare its life. Snakes are a reality around here and so far I am the only one who has not killed one. When they bite a dog its a hundred fifty dollar vet bill just to start...cant imagine what it would cost if I get bit, so thank you angels!!

I know some people have problems with the idea of angels, but for me, they are a reality. I have learned the hard way that if I ignore them, then things do not always turn out for the best. I can give you a remarkable example of angel magic...
one day I was reading and my angel said, go fill the bird feeders. I said, nooooo, that is John's job and he will be here friday. I went back to my reading. Again, my angel implored, go fill the bird feeders! Again, I said, why do you bother me with this when I am reading and its not my chore! Just go fill the bird feeders, the angel said. Okay! I will do it just to shut you up! We have five feeders and so I drug out the humongous bag of feed and began to fill the feeders. I reached one and lifted it down to fill it, only to notice that a small bird had his head stuck in one of the feeding holes! It was on a side which does not face the house which was why no one had noticed the small trapped bird. I carefully took the lid off of the feeder and gently pushed the birds head down and he was able to pull it out and off he flew! Thank you Angel, I said. There was no doubt in my mind that without divine intervention that was one little bird who may not have made it.

Anyway, my snake slithered off toward the woods and I was able to go out, find my kitties and feed them, say my prayers under the stars and slip back in to a hot, fresh steeped cup of laxative tea...yum yum!

A hot bath, bed, and hopes that day 17 would bring more energy or more healing if that was the plan...ggg

Day 17 did arrive and with it more clouds and a threatening rain storm. I had to drive to the post office, a 22 mile trip and the torrential rains hit on the way back. Flash flooding and visibility near zero was a factor and the only way I got home on the highway was following the tail lights of the car in front of me, since you could not see the road, only headlights coming at you and tail lights in front. Otherwise, everyone was going 30-35 mph on the 70 mph highway, the rain did not let up and I was driving with my elbows on the steering wheel, knuckles gripped and hyper-vigilant in case someone spun out. I sure was glad to get back to my own muddy, flooded road. It was a miracle that I got in but the thought of walking home in that rain from the highway made me a very determined woman!

I had put off my SWF until after my post office trip, so after getting out of my wet clothes, it was a pleasure to drink the flush. I even warmed it up. Yum! chicken soup without the chicken!!

I am hoping the rest of the day is really calm and uneventful...ggg. I did my chores yesterday so today I can read, relax, and of course, sprint to the throne room again and again. I really hope my fellow fasters also have a great day!!

    be happy, be well,
    Zoe

May I ask what your regular diet is like when you are not cleansing? Do you eat mostly raw foods? Do you eat 6 meals a day? Just wondering. You are so complete with your cleansing log, I wonder if you are the same with your food intake and such. I am very complete with the way i log food and i've been very complete with the cleanse, I just wonder if you are the same way. I really appreciate any help. I am considering staying mostly raw and eating other foods when i feel like it. The whole concept is so appealing to me now that i've done this cleanse.

heh heh...I am only seemingly obsessive with my cleanse for 2 reasons...to keep me honest and sticking with the cleanse since it was not easy for me this time to reach the magic month of June which was when I had planned my 30 day cleanse. I also wanted some evidence since I did not take notes the last cleanse and so I wanted to remember it. Also, I would like my daughter to be motivated to cleanse sometime. She would be motivated to read my blog. She is tall and slender but everyone can use the digestive rest once a year, so, a mom's motivation there for me.

I eat close to the source. I was a vegetarian for years until last year. I live with people who are psychic and so 2 different people told me it was time to begin eating meat again and so I did since I needed to be grounded out more. I am a blood type O which are meateaters although I do not follow that to a T. I thought after so many years eating meat might make me feel sick but after it made me feel better, I have continued to eat it. I enjoy 1 chicken a week although I often will sneak back to my tofu ways when no one is around. Otherwise, I like coffee and make it strong. I juice a lot, and eat steamed veggies and rice. I have really been developing a herbal tea "thing"...ggg.

I am of the school too, that no foods are off limit. Personally though, I work hard to avoid MSG and I never eat anything with articial sweeteners, aspartame or splenda.

I do not drink sodas, do like a beer once in a while, and do not drink as much wine because my body no longer tolerates the sulfates as much. I love Ezekiel bread and am not afraid of butter. I cook my eggs in olive oil and bought a poacher while on this cleanse and cannot wait to use it. But no, I really try to buy the best food I can afford but eat balanced. I live in a retreat center and often we have large groups and it is nothing for me to fix breakfast for 20-30. Others come and cook which is fun since it is fun to eat someone else's cooking. It is difficult to cook totally separate from what others are having. Fortunately we all juice and the meals are really healthy except for the dessert. But this summer, everyone is traveling or at our other center so I have the place to myself and so this is a perfect time for me to do the Master Cleanse. My appetite was reset doing my last one so I eat a lot less and with a focus on fueling my body.

I hope you have fun doing raw. My efforts have improved there too and I am investigating fermented foods more, which is a kind of raw which is really good for your gut....

        Have a great day~~~!

        blessings,
        Zoe

    • Fever   by  cf32502     18 y     1,235
      Hi Zoe,

I have been reading your blog along with my cleanse and I really don't know if I would have had the will to stay with it as long without it. You have helped me tremendously in many ways. This is no lnger just about my health it is also about my spirit as well. Thank you. I don't know if you still keep up with this site from June but I have a question regarding my first cleanse. I have been sailing thru my 10 day cleanse without any problems, I mean I felt a little tired on day 2 with a slight headache but that's it. But yesterday! Whew! And today! My goodness. Yesterday was day 8 and I was unable to do the SWF for the first time, so instead I did the tea. Well, I never had a BM and last night I had a migraine and I mean a MIGRAINE. I almost woke up my boyfriend to take me to the hospital and I have a high tolerense for pain (my appendix ruptured and I thought I had gas). So this morning came and I've been fighting the headache back all day and I'm running fever. My question is tomorrow is supposed to be my last day on this cleanse, but I'm wondering if I'm having all this stuff happening to me now if I should extend it. Thank you for your help.

      Crystal

I apologize, I did not see this until just now and you asked this
when I had left to go on a trip. I hope what you decided to do
was to continue your cleanse. It is always best to quit on a high
and never on a low. You sound like you became dehydrated. The
migraine most likely was detox and more water and lemonade and
perhaps a hot soak in a detox bath would have helped ameliorate
your distress. It is recommended that we drink half our body weight
in ounces of water, over and beyond the lemonade, tea or SWF.

I hope the cleanse went well for you, and certainly that you are
        feeling better.

        Many blessings~~
        Zoe
