Blog: Fasting to Spring
Day 1 of juicefast - how has it been? Not bad I must say although I have probably had too much fruit juice. But of course, I have no personal experience yet, maybe that's agood thing for me.
After my morning coffe and newborn decision to start a fast I had nothing till about 3:30 pm - was just too busy to go juice-shopping. Then I got myself a litre orange juice, 0,5 litres apple/strawberry and 0,5 litres apple/carrot juice. And started drinking it. It's almost gone by now, altho kids drank part of it - of course I didn't say 'nononono it's mine' because I'd like them to get benefits from my experience as well lol. I have also had a cup of relaxing helbal tea and I'm about to drink a cup of smoothly laxative tea as well. Or - maybe I shouldn't? I don't know. I'm feeling quite fine, starting to get a bit hungry now in the evening and maybe getting an idea of light headache but else than nthat I'm just fine. I don't have more energy than I used to. Not less energy either. Hopefully I'll gain better news next days in this area. Now I only have to keep my fingers and toes crossed not to quit and give up and start eating later this evening.

Are you drinking organic juices or just plain store bought juices? The "standard" store bought will not give you the health benefits you're looking for because of all the sugars.

I am drinking fresh juices from juice-bars, juice-machines or my own, but they are not always organic. They don't really sell organic stuff here, unless you have your own garden or farm and this season this is out of question anyway. I'm living in the middle of nowhere ;)
