In spite of a huge housing/financial crisis upon waking at 6.30, I weathered it and am ready for Day 3. Nothing yet to report - I'm dehydrated - must drink more! My urine pH measures 4.5!!! - does anyone know if one's pH drops during a fast for a good and nice reason, like that I'm excreting acid from my system? Here I am drinking a liquid that's 4.5 acidity! How can this be good?
Sad about a personal issue - all the time about that. Try not to think about it and focus.
Still deep in all the horror I'm fasting to overcome - still monstrously ugly, all my internal systems shot - I know it has only been 2 days (actually, the day before I started water and urine only was a juice-fast day). I must try to be nice to myself and not give myself a difficult time.
Yesterday went smoothy again, for the most part - I was pretty determined so didn't struggle as much mentally. This seems to be the only life-or-death thing to do, so I just have to do it. In bed mostly, still reading Maugham, strumming, and listening to music and birds (best of music yesterday _Dives and Lazarus_, my favorite album of all time possibly, I believe, as odd as it is to have one, by the Fire in the Kitchen frontman; and the achingly astonishing debut by Joanna Newsom - heartbreak!!). Makes me wish I hadn't stopped harp lessons - teacher was a Tuscan, this was in Italy, and she called the notes by the do-re-mi system and thought me a complete idiot because , like most of us in America, I don't know instantly how that translates to the letters A-G used here for musical notes - anyway, perhpas with the fast I'll regain some of that 15-year-old ethereal spunk.
I want to reiterate that I'm the last person you'd ever think could do this fast, even what I've done so far, so, as we say here on curezone, if I can do this, you can too - why not do it along with me? If you are dying and/or unhappy and/or just can't take it anymore but always do...
