I actually haven't stopped yet. I am wondering if the returning hunger is due to my new watermelon fetish. You're allowed to suck on watermelon while fasting, but sometimes you have to bite down in order to get that juice out. Well, I'm thinking when you're doing it all day long, for days, your system may think it's eating. That would explain the dull hunger and going to the bathroom on my own. I've never "gone" on my own before actually ending a fast. I thought was that very odd.
So, I'm going to give it a couple more days without watermelon and see where I am at. At the end of this fast I'll be posting a "tell all" about the fast. Where I was when I started, etc.

| Wow. I haven't looked on this site for a while and found this blog. I am soooo inspired. I have water fasted. The longest I went was 17 days about 3 years ago. I keep trying to start another one but I never quite get past the approximately 1-2 week mark before I nibble on something. I have a new Monday to Friday job and I thought now it would be too hard to fast, but I think juice fasting may be the answer and I am sooooo inspired by what you have done. Bravo!! My question is: did you only use organic ingredients for your juices? I think there is a juicing place in the neighborhood of my new job, but I don't know if they are organic, and I'm not sure I'd even trust it if they say they are anyway. I cannot wait to read your tell-all entry!!!

Hey there- I'd love to use all organic but I don't have the time or money to do so. In all of my fasts I used regular produce.
I also worked 40 hours a week, plus volunteering and caring for my family during my longest fast which was 145 days. I think it's easier to be busy while fasting so that you're not tempted to give in.
17 days on water is amazing! I still haven't tried a water only fast, but I am considering ending this one on water. Let us know when you start your fast and keep a blog, for sure. It'll be great for you to go back and look at and it will benefit others in a huge way.

Hello Living Water!
I just read your email. You are just a joy to read. I think what you wrote to the bulimic peson in Paris was so touching, I became teary eyed reading it. You share New Testament Scripture with the kind of love that I believe it was meant to convey. Bless you for your dedication and for your bravery and discipline in fasting. As well as the joy you clearly express about how cleaning the body is an expression of one of the highest things one can do for our body mind and soul. Thank you for your kind and supportive words to me. Hearing that you also worked a 40 hour plus week has inspired me even more. Strangely, I have gone even further away from a fast. I am a vegan who actually ate cookies tonight made with butter and eggs which I haven't eaten in about a year. Also other foods that I have been avoiding for my health. I sense that it is caused by the fear of truly letting myself experience the love that God gives so freely. Pretending to myself that God is against my happiness and health. That I am unworthy of the power that God has already put into my body to heal. Thank you for being a gentle and kind and giving person whose curezone postings have allowed me to write so openly and honestly about my own struggles.
