Blog: Drinking the Living Water
Whoooo!!! I've made it 90 days and I'm still going. I'm shooting for 120 and then I'll reevaluate where I am, unless my body says it's done.
I hit a pretty big low (mentally) yesterday as the weight loss has decreased significantly. Like only 2 pounds lost last week. THAT is very discouraging, especially when I'm still far from my goal weight. But I've done this before and I know you have good weeks and bad weeks. I just wish I would have journaled more during my longest fast, so I could go back and look at when weight loss slowed down, etc.
I believe my medical issue is gone however, which is wonderful!
I'll be working (as in exercise) my butt off this next coming week as I prepare for my marathon, so HOPEFULLY I'll be seeing some good results on the scale. Please, please, please, another week of only 2 pounds gone, would break me for sure! lol :)

| I've been reading a few of your blog entries and I am just amazed at how long you've been able to go! Oh and you mentioned how how difficult our brain can be! Too true!! It puts up a defense like it has a brain of it's own! hahaha. Like it tries to talk my "choice" brain - my fasting brain - into thinking how HUNGRY I am and that I NEED food or it will just shut down... but it won't shut down and I AM getting food, just nothing to chew on! My brain misses the chewing... I'll be keeping up with your progress!

| ooo, I'm wondering ow much you've lost too! I bet you lost like 20 lbs at least... geesh I'd love to go for that long, but I think I would feel like I was a living, breathing vegetable! haha

i am starting the day after tomorrow for an indefinite length of time....how many kgs(lds) do you think i can hope to loose in 30 days already...?!
i am now travelling and will be back home on the 30th of may....hopefully much lighter :)))

I'm aiming for 120 days, but I'll stop whenever my body says it's done (hunger will come back).
Your weight loss will depend on how much you have to lose. If you're only about 20 pounds over weight, it may take you a month to lose. If you're 100 pounds over weight, you'll probably lose near a pound a day, with many days of nothing. I read a testimony where a guy had a health problem which made him retain water like crazy. He went on a fast and dropped 100 pounds in 1 month. Most of it was water, but good thing, too! After this fast his water retention problem was gone.
