Well it's day 38 and amazingly there are things to talk about. Still eliminating, which doesn't suprise me since at day 140 of my last fast, there was still small quanties of stuff being eliminated... Does make you a little sick to think just how much is in your intestines, even when you're not eating.

Did anyone know that John Wayne had 40 pounds of fecal matter in his intestines when he died? He was a meat and potatos man (like my husband) and I remind my hubby of that fact pretty often. I really wish he'd fast or change something in his diet for a while. He really eats terribly but has the best figure which is just NOT FAIR! lol :)

I started to have a problem with yeast, which is not common for me at all. I had been drinking some orange/carrot juice mix every now and then, so I think the orange was causing overgrowth of yeast. I've cut the o.j. out and have noticed a difference. It's amazing what can trigger yeast problems. This morning I took a pro-biotics enema to help get some good flora in the ol' intestines.

It's been a little discouraging this last week. The weightloss has slowed down (which I expected would happen) and that was a major motivating factor for me. You go through a week of 2 pounds of weightloss and you start to think that you could be loosing the weight faster by actually eating and just working out more. Which, I could actually up the work outs right now and probably get some results...

Oh, and we went out to eat (they ate) with some friends of ours at a Mongolian Grill and the food LOOKED SOOOOO GOOD! I've never had Mongolian Grill and I was dying to try some. But I resisted. Sure haven't stopped thinking about how good it probably was though. lol :)

Well I hope everyone else is doing well in their fasting pursuits! God Bless!

congrats on doing so well. i was craving mongolian beef while i was on my fast and i went and had it on suday - yeah it was nice but not near as good as i imagined for all that time. so your probably not missing out on that much with the mongolian grill. can you tell me how much weight you have lost so far? did it just start to slow down this week? how long are you going to go for?

Oh, good, so maybe I'm not missing out on anything. :) I have lost 41 pounds. I have a lot of weight to lose.

Yes, it was only in this last week that the weightloss started to slow down. In my previous fast it didn't start slowing down until day 60, so I'm thinking the yeast/o.j. issue may be the culprit. We'll see how things go next week.

And I'll be going at least 60 days but probably closer to 90. I'm letting my body be the guide.

I just ended a 34 day juice fast and have not felt so good... well, since my last juice fast. LOL

Yes, I knew about that sad little fact about The Duke dying with 40 pounds of impacted fecal matter inside him. I tell people about that when I explain juice fasting and the importance of a full body detox regime. I know a lot of people who will have that kind of fecal matter in their bodies when they die. As a matter of fact, that will be the reason they die. Very sad situation.

I'm just so glad that won't happen to us.

Excellent feat, 38 days! Very impressive to say the least! We're cheering you on!

      *hugs*
