Blog: journal of my 30 day juice fast
| the juice fast is going well but unfortunatley i am very sick. did not sleep a wink last nite so exhausted and feel miserable today. really sore throat head cold and aches and pains now the hot and cold feeling is setting in. i want to take something but trying not to. i hardly ever take any medication maybe an advil rarely. but right now i feel like i could swollow a whole drug cabinet. will perservere with vitamin c juices and ginger. maybe we get sick once in a while just to remind us how good it is to be healthy. so to all of you....enjoy your health and i hope to be back on deck soon.

This may be toxins passing through. I hope you can ride it out without medicating.
We drink hot lemon tea with cayenne pepper when the sniffles attack. Makes us warm inside and may trigger the sweats.

Hey, honey, so sorry you're feeling ill. If you can stand raw garlic, try some straight or in your juice. The smell will be oozing outta your pores for a day or two, but garlic is a natural antibiotic. Even though you've been juicing, having too few calories can compromise your immune system so as soon as your appetite is back, drink more juice like you did yesterday.

| thanks for the thoughts and advice - i love garlic so i will give it a go. i couldnt remember if it was garlic or ginger that would help. i cant smell anything anyway due to cold so those around me will have to endure!ha!
