  • Raw & Juice mostly for almost 48 hours!   by  annaconda     18 y     3,517       3 Messages Shown       Blog: Wedding Diet
Yeah! I've done really well since Monday.

Monday I had salad for lunch and dinner. Tuesday I had potato salad and tuna salad and chicken for lunch (bad) and a dinner of lentils, tomato paste, mushrooms, carrots and onions and basmati rice. It was really yummy but I had three huge portions.

I had a job interview tuesday AM and I was still a little worn out from the weekend. My willpower was not what it should have been. Still, no alcohol.

Wednesday I had salad all day, 20 minutes on the bike 20 minutes on the stair climber and weight lifting, total 1 hr. 20 minutes.

Today orange carrot ginger juice and plan to eat raw all day. I'm going on a 4 mile run this afternoon.

My sister talked some sense into me yesterday - I've done a lot of work and I'm doing really well, and I'm not going to stop after the wedding. Though I'd love to be one of those people who can juice fast for 30 days while exercising and working, I just can't. With the wedding coming, it's just too much for me to go through right now. But eating raw is going to be really good for me, I think.

    I really

i am amazed at people who fast and work full time - i know i couldnt have done my first fast if i had to work. i think i could manage it now but not for my first extended fast. actually i take that back i dont think i could even handle full time work. ha! and plan a weddding! forget it.

i love checking in on you when you blog. i think a lot about you and try to think about what i can say to help you out. firstly i think you sound amazing, strong, talented, funny, loyal, creative adn someone who would be fun to have around. there are not a lot of peopel in this world who ahve it all goin on like you do and i bet that shines thru. this is why i think you will be a stunning bride. but that beign said i know you want to lose weight and be smaller. i know what that is like.im not even sure what your weight/ height etc is and it probably doesnt matter the fact is your not happy with it. but you are working on it so you have to be seeing some results. i still believe the juice thing is the quickest way to lose the weight. it aint easy but if you want to give it another go let me know and i will share some of my coping mechanisms and some of my harsh truths. i mean from my point of view and what worked for me. but your idea of adding more juice and raw food should help the weight go. you just have to be really strong and stick to it. i still face the food demon (and alcohol devil) soem days i just ask myself what i wnat more the food (or drink) or the weight loss? generally it is the weight loss but sometimes it is the food. so i make sure i indulge in a food cravign once a week and alcohol on w'ends. i seem to be able to behave the week so thats when i juice with no issues really. well a few but not too many.

also wanted to tell you while juice fasting first time around it took me a long time to exercise. the first 5 days i did nothing and then it was a 2 mile walk that took me forever. some days i would stroll. around day 13 my feelings and energy level really increased. althoug i still experienced days when it was low. teh fitness thing didnt come easy i have worked really hard (liek you are) it has taken me more than 3 months to acheive a satisfactory level of fitness.

jsut one more thought....i know you juiced for 10 days but i was thinking that maybe it wasnt long enought for you to feel really good. it wasnt really unitl the middle to end of 30 days that i felt amazing. just wanted to share. but really when it all comes down to it you have to really really wnat it and really work hard and stick to it and be disciplined. - god that sounds so boring....but it is worth it....

I think of you too. I've had really great success in the past three days - I never knew I could eat a dinner of raw green beans and be OK with it - I did that last night.

I can tell already this morning the difference a few days make. I hope to have a time in my life where I can juice fast and not be overwhelmed. It's definitely a goal.

So I think my final push of these last 10 weeks will include a lot of raw foods. I'm not going to have alcohol except on three specific weekends.

Thanks so much. (someone just came into my office saying we're ordering dominos - NONE FOR ME I SAY!!!!)
