  • Wanted: Good Recipes for Creating Thoughts!   RN   by  greggechols     19 y     2,753       2 Messages Shown       Blog: Dreaming Alive
Creating thoughts can be like creating a nice bowl of chili. You add meat, chile peppers, comino, oregano, garlic, and if you’re from San Antonio, maybe a half a can of Pearl beer. You simmer, sizzle, shake, bake, mosey, and sooner or later you’ve got a hot steamin’ bowl of chili.

Now for a thought, what would you put into it? Maybe a strong intention, a little positive belief, creative energy, a dash or two of love, and perhaps a little wildness. Mix it up, shake it up, and let it fly. And if you’re lucky, it’ll come back to you twice as strong.

We put more emphasis on making that hot bowl of chili than we do on creating a hot, fiery thought. We give our thoughts no flavor, no extra dashes of special ingredients. We lazily mix whatever is left over in the cupboard and hope for the best. And more often than not, we get a thought that’s better off in the junkyard than even at McDonald’s.

What did you put in your thoughts today?

Where did you find your thoughts? Did you steal your thoughts? Who gave you that one thought you loved so much?

Are your thoughts created with fun? Do you like your thoughts? What thoughts went into the water that you drank this morning? What thoughts were left in your refrigerator this morning? What thoughts were in the beer you drank last night or the cigarette you smoked this morning?

What is behind a powerful new thought? Do those come from different factories than regular thoughts? What influences the thought once it is alive, in the air, growing to full adulthood?

It is as though the creator of the thought plays host to a wide variety of influences that determine the thought. There are forces and factors that influence the creator in that moment of creativity. The thought itself is more than we’ve really imagined, and quantum physics will probably prove it for us.

Quantum mechanics theories say that there are behaviors involving everything in the universe, and everything affects everything else. Conscious attention changes reality. The delicious bowl of chili I had for lunch affected the phone call two hours later to my friend, praising him for his work. The fragrant flower I smelled while walking my cat added to the decision to go swimming in the ocean.

What did you put into that thought?
