| ...The Water Buffalo or Domestic Asian Water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) is abundant in Asia, and widely used in South America, southern Europe and elsewhere. In 2000, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization estimated that there were approximately 158 million water buffalo in the world and that 97% of them (approximately 153 million animals) were in Asia.[1] It is a large ungulate and a member of the bovine subfamily. There are established feral populations in northern Australia but the dwindling true wild populations are thought to survive in India, Nepal, Bhutan and Thailand. All the domestic varieties and breeds descend from one common ancestor, the wild Asian water buffalo, which is now an endangered species.

Hi there
The good thing you are doing here is taking it step-by-step, ie you have a pre-plan. I am currently preparing one for myself, and would love to lose 28lbs. I am glad I found this website as you will see a lot of people doing the same thing and that in itself will motivate you.
During your fast, anytime you feel like giving up, take some time to read what is on the boards here. There are people who have done 30 days, 40 days, and even 100 day fasts! Have a read about how they coped and think of how you can do the same.
Try and distract yourself as much as you can during your fast. Keep yourself busy and give yourself little time to think about food. When you are hungry, have a glass of water.
I am new to the forum myself and will be adding my experiences to help others. Good luck with your fast and hope it goes well.
